The client had an extensive criminal history. As the client committed an additional crime whilst currently serving a suspended sentence pursuant to the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act section 12, the very real expectation was that the client would go to gaol.
After entering a guilty plea with explanation, the Magistrate forgave the breach, fined the client $400 and gave him a 12 month good behaviour bond. The client was very pleased with this great outcome.
Result: $400 fine and good behaviour bond.
